NORTH Somerset Council is sitting on a goldmine - a marina in Weston. The possibilities are endless, it would bring back the tourists, it would be a main attraction, especially if events were held, and it would breathe new life into this town.A splash wall would be a total waste of money, especially if it was knocked down once we had the marina. It would be practical to invest the money granted and in time put it towards a sensible and realistic project. It may be a multi-million pound project but surely Weston deserves the best, not a second-rate solution which will spoil the seafront and totally destroy it. I strongly urge councillors to visit Watchet. It maybe small but if they can do it, then why not Weston.AILSA BRENT - Albert Road, Weston
