WELL done, Cllr John Crockford-Hawley for the U-turn to scrap the closing of Worle High Street, and for giving the reason why: "It has been scrapped because the community was not in favour, and I can't see any point in proceeding when people do not support it".It took a public meeting and a 120-signature petition for you to be persuaded to make that decision.Would the councillor now be brave enough to organise a public meeting and a petition with regard to the development of the Tropicana and then reconsider the situation using the above statement, as the majority of the people of Weston do not want a hotel or a multiscreen cinema. All they want is a refurbished pool with a roof for all-year use.ROBERT LOWE - Locking Castle, Weston
