I FEEL in this day and age not enough people say thank you for support received for some of the most worthy causes in our society
I FEEL in this day and age not enough people say thank you for support received for some of the most worthy causes in our society. I wish to thank the editor of the Weston Mercury and Jack Hunter. Without their support many of the charities that came to Wavering Down House, the home of the late Frankie Howerd, could not have enjoyed the unique setting. It has been one fantastic year because people from all parts of the UK and beyond booked into hotels and caravan parks to see where the great man of titter-ye-not lived. Thanks to the Weston Mercury, all the major media, radio and TV came and reported from Somerset, so people worldwide could see what a beautiful place we live in. And two documentaries due out next year and a six-week radio special should bring much-needed tourism to the West Country, as we all know it's the main source of income. Thank you.CHRIS AND DENNISWavering Down House, Cross
