Lodge Lane Inquiry Decision: The recent Inspector's decision to allow a second Tesco's to be built on the Elms site on the edge of Nailsea is a real hammer blow to local residents living close to Lodge Lane.I am bitterly disappointed, and a little shocked, that the inspector concluded that all the main issues of detrimental character, appearance, harmful effect on living conditions of nearby residents, noise, antisocial behaviour, light pollution and privacy carried insufficient weight to refuse the public inquiry appeal .The views of hundreds of local residents from Nailsea and Wraxall, North Somerset planning committees and local town and parish councils have been ignored and dismissed at the expense of big business and the decision is a real travesty of justice. Many thanks to all those people who campaigned tirelessly over a long period of time for refusal of a second Tesco's which is certainly not needed.District Cllr Andy Cole - Nailsea East
