I WRITE with reference to the planning application for nine flats in Stanley Road, which was given the green light on May 10 against massive objections from residents living in the near vicinity. What was extraordinary was that Cllr John Crockford-Hawley, the ward councillor for this area, proposed approval and set about convincing other committee members they should support the development. Surely as a ward councillor for the area he should have supported the objectors and thereby the electorate who voted him into office. I am appalled at his behaviour and will never vote for him again.NIGEL ALLEN - Locking Road, Weston
