DURING the week ending September 27 two statements were reported from Councillor Carl Francis-Pester neither of which were true.
The councillor denied that the conservatives promised not to implement fortnightly rubbish collections but that promise was implicit and clear during their election campaign.
He also claimed that the system was working well. The system might look good in a world of targets and accounts but on the ground (literally) it has been a disaster for many Bristol residents whilst greatly adding to the rat population.
It is bad enough having an administration making decisions based on personal likes and dislikes but much worse to have important councillors spouting propaganda as though we were all stupid. We aren't!
