I WAS born in Plymouth in 1941 and used to live in Weston Super Mare from about 1954 until I joined the army in 1960. I saw active service in Malaya, Brunei and Borneo before being demobilised in 1966.

I was a pupil of Weston Grammar School and recently made contact with one of my old mates, Pete Sperrin. In 1955 we formed a skiffle group called The Cripple Creek Gangsters, comprising of Pete Sperrin, vocals, Ken Jones, drums, Alan Beynon, bass, with Dave Trego and myself on guitar.

We all lived on the Bournville estate and had a lot of fun. Those were carefree trouble free days.

I would dearly love to catch up with all the old gang, as well as Kerry Harris and Pauline Iles. Pauline went on to marry Anthony Davis in 1963 and may have moved to Bristol. I believe Dave Trego formed a dance band that played locally.

I would also like to hear from anyone who remembers me from the good old days. Any help you can give me would be gratefully received.
