Bristol City Council has agreed plans to improve the links from Junction 18 at Avonmouth and have a link to join up with the As8 at the Kings Head on the As8.
North Somerset by contrast seems to be dragging its heels in providing road improvements. What we desperately need is a widening of the A38 to the south of the airport and a better link with junction 21, or even junction 20 at Clevedon.
What seems sensible is a new feeder road across Puxton Moor. This will cut at least three miles of each journey from the south and will cut journeys considerably whilst bringing relief to the villages of Banwell and Sandford.
