I READ a report recently saying that English and Welsh police forces are the most expensive in the world.
There was a recent incident on a local estate involving many police cars, police officers, armed police, and a helicopter.
My point is the total cost for this must have been very high as I believe the helicopter costs 1,000 per hour to operate. It is little wonder that police find it difficult to attend some incidents which do not come up as important on their radar but which are nevertheless very concerning to the person reporting such things as antisocial behaviour etc.
In last weeks incident it appears the police were presiding at the 'train crash' instead of listening, initially, to people when they complain about unruly neighbours and antisocial behaviour.
Weston has reached a point where it has become acceptable to act badly as there appears to be no reposte from the authorities.
I consider that taking a harder line with people who flout the law by restricting their housing requirements would bring them into line.
