I HAVE an enquiry from a music historian who has been looking through dance band recordings of 1941 and found some originals noted as "recorded at the Albert Hall in Weston-super-Mare".This place was officially known as the Albert Memorial Hall and stood where the New Town Hall now stands. I can find no newspaper or other references to back up this claim and the hall was not really a place to record things in as I remember it. Does anybody out there recall any such things going on in there or even being told about it? Any clues gratefully received.BRIAN AUSTIN - Alma Street, Weston
