REGARDING the misconduct warning of Colin Diamond (Directorate of Children and Young People's Services) I am writing to say how appalling and inappropriate I think a formal warning to him is. For a man in a position of authority to be found guilty of six counts of misconduct is bad enough. To then be simply formally disciplined is unbelievable. When I worked for a company on considerably less money than Mr Diamond, I was formally disciplined for being off ill from work. Formal disciplines are usually issued for minor discretions and not to someone in charge who has disregarded the rules. If the rest of us struggling on minimum wages up and down the country were to put a foot wrong at work I am sure the consequences for us would be a lot worse. Then again this is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Another example of one rule for the mighty and another for the rest of us.NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
