I AM bemused. The council keeps banging on about recycling, and good for them for doing so, but I cannot understand their logic. They give everyone a green bag for recycling garden waste and brown (only brown) cardboard. Now bearing in mind how many HMOs and flats there are in Weston there must be hundreds of properties that do not use them.I try to recycle as much as I can, and have started collecting and bagging up coloured cardboard, which I then take to the tip in my car and put in the cardboard recycling container. This is nearly always full. Now, can someone from the council please explain, if this coloured cardboard is indeed recycled, why they don't collect this door to door instead of the garden waste - or as well as? Every household in the town gets coloured cardboard. You cannot avoid it if you buy from supermarkets, so surely it would be far more efficient to collect this than the garden waste.NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
