LAST night (Saturday) was probably the first of several nights we will have to suffer fireworks going off.I wonder if the people who come to Sand Bay to let their fireworks off on the beach spare a thought for the people and animals who live there. I spent three hours trying to calm my terrified dog whilst loud bangs went off outside our house. This morning we got up to find a large area of the beach littered with the debris. There was also the remains of a fire, which according to the sign are not allowed to be lit on the beach. What's the point of a sign if no one is policing this? I think it is high time fireworks were confined to displays to stop people causing others upset and to stop people like the ones who were letting them off at 5am this morning.CAROL RANSFORD - Sand Bay
