A LETTER from Cynthia Newns, South Road, Weston, has appeared in our local paper appealing for support to oppose the proposed development on the seafront.To even contemplate building anything on the beach beggars belief. The view towards Kewstoke would be utterly spoilt. The beauty of Weston, is its wide promenade and greens giving a lovely open aspect.The seafront has been ruined already with modern blocks of apartments which do not blend at all with the lovely old stone houses.Why do today's architects and planners spoil everything? It happens everywhere. If indeed another hotel is required surely there is another location it can be built upon.MARGARET BETTANY - Harvey Close, Coventry
