I am writing in response to last week's letter from Mr Kevin Vodden.I find myself in the strange position of strongly agreeing with the first part of his letter about the behaviour of some drivers on the Portbury Hundred, and strongly disagreeing with the second part about the Cabstand.I assume that Mr Vodden does not know of the impact the Cabstand has had on residents of the roads surrounding the High Street, with the massively increased amount of traffic and subsequent safety related issues. Not to mention the abuse that is commonly received if, God forbid, you have to park or remove something from your car which results in the people travelling through having to wait an extra 30 seconds. And what is really annoying is the fact that the wonderful new Cabstand was designed for the expanding Portishead and areas such as Eastcliffe where Mr Vodden lives.A Woods, Portishead.
