IS IT just me or has anyone else noticed how bad the parking has become in this town?

Walliscote Road is now a huge chicane for passing cars and buses due to the selfishness of people who park on single yellow lines all day.

It's the same cars parked in the same places all day, day after day.

Victoria Quadrant, same thing, every day between 10 and 15 cars parked all day on single yellow lines.

Every junction has an extra car parked on double yellow lines, and no-one seems to care less about disabled bays or zig-zags at crossings, not to mention those who park on the footpaths and think it's alright to do so as long as they display hazard lights. Some of the parking adds up to outright obstruction, and one questions how vehicles from the fire and rescue service would get past in an emergency.

The whole town is a succession of vehicles driving around in circles looking for a parking space, but very few are available because of the selfish ones who park all day in one-hour parking bays.

A senior police officer once said: "You can tell how well a town is being policed by the parking." Speaks volumes, doesn't it?
