READING your article about the tallest building in Weston, I find it incredible that councillor John Crockford-Hawley is saying he would like it to house young families close to the beach and seafront. Over the past decade or so there has been numerous cases of multi-storey buildings being demolished due to the problems occurring in this type of housing. What sort of life is there for a child being brought up in these sort of buildings? No mother is going to let them wander off to the beach on their own. The outcome for the child is being marooned inside for long periods.BRIAN READE - Via e-mail
