So the good people of Portishead are set to rise up again. First it was an interview centre for asylum seekers (remember that?).
Then it was the inconvenience to car users of some traffic lights. Revolution was barely averted. Now it's the use of a former nursing home to house teenagers with support needs. The crime? It's in a middle class area in a mainly privileged and pampered town rather than a council estate or a fortified unit in the deepest countryside. Global warming? Imperial adventures? Economic difficulties? Come on! It's Portishead!
