ONCE upon a time, there was a delightful little seaside resort, with buildings of great architectural beauty.
Citizens were proud of their heritage but, like many other happenings in a topsy-turvy world, the good things were not meant to last.
One day, as now, some 'nasties' moved in to start destroying these things of beauty and although residents complained bitterly, little notice was taken of them.
Ugly concrete boxes began replacing Weston's buildings of character. Through the strong voice of the weekly paper, angry residents called for a halt in the continual rape of their beloved town, but the 'baddies' continued to further their own dastardly plans. As for the public being consulted, it doesn't mean a thing! Whatever one's views on happenings today, those above will do things their way!
