WHAT wonderful news it was to read that Weston's Flower Power working party bagged a prestigious silver gilt gong in this year's South West in Bloom Awards. You can't always guarantee the summer weather in Britain but you can ensure wherever you go across Weston it is always swathed in lovely blooms. I would like to congratulate all the groups around the town who worked so hard to create the brightly coloured show and hope next year the party will win the gold award.D F COURTNEY - Victoria Park, Weston
