I WAS disappointed to see that all the people who took part in the beach 'Race for Life' last Sunday May 10 had to buy a parking ticket to park along the beach road. Every one of the 2,000 plus ladies running that race was doing so to raise sponsor money to aid the awareness of caner. Surely the council could have waived the parking charge to all competitors upon the production of their proof of entry. Some people had travelled many miles to attend only to be charged £1 an hour for the privilege of parking.I question why free parking could not have been arranged till 2pm in order for all runners to compete and finish. Maybe we will have to wait till Christmas to get a free parking space in Weston then we can all go shopping.MR R TURNER - Oakford Avenue, Weston
