I NOTICED in the Mercury there are discussions for a multi-million pound change to Worle Parkway station. This is not the first time this idea has been discussed and quite frankly it could be the death knell of Weston station if Worle station was enlarged. It is no secret the powers-that-be would like to close the loop line that brings passengers into the centre of the town and drop them four miles away at a park and ride station. Be warned, this would be another nail in the Weston coffin. One part of your story does not make sense, when part of the scheme would make it dual track to Worle Parkway. This station is already on the main line and thus on dual track.GEOFF MALHAM - Severn Road, Weston
