IT WAS a matter of time before our councillors looked again at cancelling the provision of transport for Christian children to their faith schools. This was tried a few years ago. Then, we organised a public protest at an education committee meeting at Churchill School, and councillors were left in no doubt we expected our Christian children to be supported!But then, isn't it all part of this sad country to destroy the teaching of decency and morality? In most of our secondary schools now there is little or no form of Christian worship. The criteria used by SACRE for assessing spiritual development are now purely secular and have you noticed some are trying to replace the word Christmas with Winter Festival? School nativity plays will be December Celebrations.Enough of this giving in! We are starting a petition to oppose any funding cuts in school transport, and there will be an open meeting.
