HUMBERTS - such a huge shame and what a waste! Large head office (London) overheads and heavy financial commitments (since becoming Humberts from C J Hole two years ago) were the undoing of all the years of hard work, dedication and commitment consistently delivered by my superb team in Nailsea. We had more than 90 years combined experience of the Nailsea property market between us and it is a huge source of pride that, even to the moment that the administrator walked through the door on Wednesday afternoon, OUR office was still in profit, despite the most difficult market conditions for decades. Indeed, in 26 years, we have never run an office that wasn't in profit - sadly it seems that we had to pay the price for corporate madness.It's a tremendous tribute to my team that I have received so many messages of best wishes and good luck - my phone has not stopped ringing. Thank you to all our past clients for your support.Thank you especially to my girls. You can be really proud of yourselves. We never lost our core values and we always tried to do what was right - matching the right people to the right property. Most importantly, we never forgot who our clients were and you did all this with humour, sensitivity and total professionalism.It's been a tremendous privilege to work with you all over the years - what a terrific team of highly professional and wonderful colleagues.
