HAS anyone from the highways department ever driven or walked over the bridge on Moor Lane?
The whole road is in such a disgusting state. I fear for the safety of all the children and mothers with buggies who have to walk over that bridge twice daily.
The road surface is slowly sliding away into the hedgerow. At one time there was a kerb all along and over the bridge to separate traffic from pedestrians but over the years this has disappeared.
With Summer Lane closed at the moment, the traffic on Moor Lane was horrendous today.
The children will all be back to school before the work on Summer Lane is completed. I just hope and pray that with the increased traffic none of these children will get injured.
