I AM sure most readers are as tired of hearing about the Birnbeck area of Weston as I am of writing about it.

I AM sure most readers are as tired of hearing about the Birnbeck area of Weston as I am of writing about it.

The most recent article reported on English Heritage highlighting our town's buildings which are on a conservation 'at risk' list.

Surely now pressure can be applied by the council to try to evoke laws that are in place to do something positive with regards to the area, forcing the owners of certain buildings into some form of action to get things moving before things get worse.

We have constantly been fobbed off by the council which seems to be very unwilling to make any attempt to force action on the owners of these derelict buildings.

There have been other articles recently in the paper about the closure of a public toilet, leaving the nearest one in Grove Park, a 20 minute walk away.

I, like many of my neighbours, have witnessed people now using South Road, Kewstoke Road and parts of Prince Consort Gardens as a public urinal, much to everyone's displeasure.

To say that I am dissatisfied in every manner with the council and its their lack of leadership is a huge understatement.
