NO, PAUL Burns (Opinion, August 4) you are not 'wacky'. If our council had any serious intentions of developing Weston into a more attractive resort your ideas would be a sound basis for a realistic 'vision' statement.Unfortunately the council's agenda is one of securing increasing revenue via the development of houses, flats and hotels, with amenities for Weston being a very low priority. The latest example is the demolition of the beach paddling/boat pool on the seafront.Do we have any forward-thinking councillors or are we regarded as donkeys being led by a 'carrot'?K A KIDGER - Atlantic View Court, Weston
