I WAS delighted to see that the charming picture of the gentleman enjoying a swim at an outdoor pool is once again gracing the welcome page of the North Somerset Council website.I feel that this must be a sign that those responsible for the future of the outdoor pool in Portishead have recognised the immense value of being able to swim outdoors.I am already looking forward to the opportunity once more to enjoy a refreshing outdoor swim after work (when I manage to leave on time and there is no traffic hold up on the journey to the pool). Perhaps there might be longer opening hours to enable more people to do the same, with better quality refreshments on offer so that they might sit and enjoy the sunset in this most wonderful setting after their exercise, and help to boost profits at the same time.SYLVIA HOLLIMAN - Address supplied
