In connection to the front page report last week I have very much appreciated the comments that were mentioned regarding the future possibility of an important night bus service.The direct Portishead to Clevedon route was the number 360 that operated day and evening up until the late 1970s. This service discontinued from August 1977. However, an 805 service came into force in 1981 but did not cater as an evening service. Therefore Portishead to Clevedon has been without an evening service for just over 30 years. I am sure that many residents would very much enjoy the return of such an evening service so they could enjoy a few evening hours in Clevedon and be sure of a safe return to Portishead at an appropriate hour. This I am sure would cater for social events, cinema, private parties, reunions, etc., etc., and would improve the outgoings for all generations of the Portishead community.Winston Davis, Down Road, Portishead
