Why has Mary Ponsonby got herself so hot under the collar about the so called 'psychic fair' at the Scotch Horn. Is it because it is being held on Remembrance Day? Or would she still be up in arms about it no matter when it was being held? I think possibly the latter. I understand some Christians see this as a rival 'religion' to Christianity and therefore it is not surprising that an anti psychic stance is taken. However - having read your seemingly balanced report on the front page it does appear that psychic could have been the wrong word to use in describing this event. Now that things have been clarified I am sure Mrs Ponsonby will moderate her views. And just to clarify things - I am certainly not a psychic supporter or believer and I will not be going to the Scotch Horn on Sunday. But I defend it because to me it seems to be an excellent idea - with money being donated to a worthy charity. Now that's a very Christian thing to do. An open mind and a bit of tolerance is how I would expect Christians to embrace the world.Bern Finch - Nailsea
