I was interested to read about the efforts to regenerate the businesses in Clevedon town centre by Bob Garner and David Healey, and the importance of residents to support the businesses.

However if the Tesco proposal for expansion (and to sell multi range products) is agreed upon, then there is little hope for Clevedon town centre. Hopefully people will reject the expansion and also give their support to those businesses which have been loyal to Clevedon often in difficult times.

It is now time for the people of Clevedon to act against this Tesco expansion and also the councillors to support the people.

May I hope Bob Garner is successful in his efforts, and makes his objection to the Tesco expansion.

Hopefully Clevedon Times will do its bit, as Clevedon is unique and we must keep it that way.
