AS PART of my family tree research, I am looking to trace relatives last known to be living in the Blagdon area of Somerset in 1962.My great aunt, Minnie Cooksey (nee Darrington), died at Blagdon in 1962 where she appears to have lived with her son and family at Street End.Her son was my mother's cousin, James Rex Cooksey, and he was born in Birmingham in 1920 to Joseph Cooksey.Minnie Cooksey was 88 when she died and had been born in Rotherham, Yorkshire, to James Darrington and his wife Elizabeth (nee Cooper).James Rex Cooksey married Rachel Peggy Shuttleworth.They had two daughters, born in Birmingham, Patricia and Rexina. They probably moved to Somerset in the late 40s or 50s.I understand that a relative of James Rex Cooksey's father had run a hotel or guest house in Weston at some time.
