AS SOMEONE who spent 17 years exiled in Milton Keynes before coming to my senses and moving back to Somerset, I can wholeheartedly recommend a snow dome to the people in this area. The Xscape snow dome in Milton Keynes is a fantastic resource to the town. It contains a 170 metre long ski slope that can be used for skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. It also contains a huge gym, 16 screen cinema, bowling alley, climbing wall, shops and nearly 20 cafes, bars and restaurants.Imagine what a boost that would give to the Weston area as a venue for local people, as an employer and as a tourist attraction. Of course, with a council that can't get its act together over such a simple project as restoring a swimming pool, I doubt we will ever see a snow dome here.MIKE BELCH - Lower North Street, Cheddar
