TO ALL the concerned residents of Sand Bay let me just say that, as a very responsible dog owner and lover, I for one will not be walking my dog along their filthy beach for fear of my dog picking up a disease. I dislike dog mess and always clean up after mine, but because of a selfish minority who do not I am banned from the beach in Weston every day of the year.Yet vandals and litter louts are free with the blessing of our 'dog hating' council to continue to leave drink cans, broken glass, soiled nappies, etc., and defacing public property, all of which costs us, the council tax payer, to be cleaned up or repaired. It seems to me there are double standards here. So Weston and Sand Bay are welcome to keep their litter strewn beaches which will not be improved by the dog ban, and dog owners will find somewhere safer if at all possible in the Weston area.Perhaps all those who complain so vehemently about dog mess should take a good look around next time they go for a walk or ride and notice as well as dog mess left by the thoughtless all the empty cans, broken glass, supermarket bags, food containers and paper bags, etc., which they so conveniently seem to ignore or find acceptable.MRS W LOWE - Locking Castle
