I WRITE this in praise of Weston Area Health Trust for my mother, Sheila Dean, who asked me to tell others her story. She was diagnosed with cancer just over a year ago and sadly we lost her on May 4. She died with dignity and peace at home with her family. From the very first she had wonderful care and support. There was virtually no waiting for any appointment or treatment, nothing was too much trouble.Mr Williams, her consultant, the oncology nurses, her GPs, Dr Heather and Dr Chitty, the practice nurses, district nurses and rapid response team were all exceptional professionals. They treated mother with respect, empathy and kindness. We will not have a word said against the outstanding care she received. We found it hard to believe that so much could be provided for her entirely without cost or effort on our part.Thank you all, every one of you. You made our mother and family feel special. We should all be proud of our health trust. We don't thank them enough.SUSAN PONTING - Address supplied
