DURING the recent school holidays high spring tides kept Marine Lake topped up twice a day.
Very little sandy beach was available except at the Knightstone Causeway side of the lake.
The following week, during the lower neap tides, the lake had a slightly lower water level and a nice stretch of sand was available towards the cove side of the lake, on which quite a lot of parents and children were enjoying the sand and water.
If the water level could be permanently lowered by about one to one-and-a-half feet this sand would be available most of the time, not only during the lower neap tides .
This would be an improvement and greater use of a great attraction.
