Hazard

One must sympathise with Julia Batterham and the residents of Greenfield Park, however we who live in Wetlands Lane already have an existing parking problem at school arrival and departure times. If parking is restricted in Greenfield Park then the problems on Wetlands Lane would increase. All day parking at the school end of St Mary's Road is also a hazard; I understand that some of the cars belong to pupils.We live in a block of 13 retirement flats, Springfield House on Wetlands Lane, and have recently made an objection to the building of a mews house with its drive adjacent to our private drive. We already have a difficult exit and access on to Wetlands Lane and having another access made about two metres from ours will make it much harder. The difficulty experienced is due to traffic travelling at speed from the 'one way' top end of St Mary's Road. Nevertheless this building has been approved by both the town and county councils (application 06/P/0288/F).It can be seen therefore that unless some restrictions are made this is going to be an on going problem as the numbers of pupils attending Gordano School increases.
