IT SEEMS the council is not going to take any notice at all of the objections to the Tropicana scheme, so what else can we all do? I am as much concerned about the parking of cars on the Beach Lawns and the proposed re-routing of Marine Parade as I am about the hideous monstrosity on the beach. I assume most of our councillors do not actually live in Weston and so are not concerned about the beach being ruined. Apart from actually lying down on the proposed car parks when construction begins, what can we do? The council is obviously not going to take into account the objections of 15,000 plus residents! Could we possibly have a snap election and get the present lot out with some of the 15,000 objectors replacing them? It might be the only way we are going to get this development stopped!
