I agree that parking in Hill Road is difficult. For six Saturdays up until Christmas I was asked by the Hill Road retailers to provide a horse and carriage to take people from the pier to Hill Road for their Christmas shopping. It was financed by the Hill Road retailers association so passengers did not pay a fare but were invited to make a charity donation. I was kept pretty busy.
I hope that this helped (maybe in a small way) to relieve the parking problem. If the same could be done more often especially during the summer months would it not help and at the same time provide an attraction for the town and an income for charity?
