FOLLOWING his recent defeat in the local government elections, I had rather hoped we had heard the last of John Crockford-Hawley. I felt sure the Weston Mercury would have to go out of print, as there would be nothing on which to report. Imagine then the thrill when I discovered an article in which Crockford-Hawley was bemoaning having to erect no smoking signs in his church.G BURNETT - Elmhyrst Road, Weston
