AM I the only person who is horrified to discover that Conservative town councillors are going to pay their new town clerk �60,000 a year?
No disrespect intended to them all, I'm sure they mean well, but these days the town council does very little and only has real power over allotments.
Do local taxpayers really need to pay someone more than �1,000 a week to manage it?
