I congratulate her

I HAVE the utmost sympathy for Faith Moulin who feels compelled to resign as chairman of Yatton Parish Council. It is not generally realised, even among elected councillors, just how much work and commitment is required to properly chair a parish council

I HAVE the utmost sympathy for Faith Moulin who feels compelled to resign as chairman of Yatton Parish Council. It is not generally realised, even among elected councillors, just how much work and commitment is required to properly chair a parish council. It does demonstrate very clearly the old adage: 'you cannot please all the people all the time'. Unfortunately there are always those who seek to fulfil their own private agenda and those whose sole aim in life is to find something, real or imagined, to criticise. The only criteria a volunteer parish councillor should seek to attain is to serve the whole of their community for the benefit of all their residents. I congratulate Ms Moulin for her work at Yatton and for leading her council to attain quality status.JOHN WARREN - Chairman, St Georges Parish Council, Willow Gardens, St Georges
