RECENTLY I was admitted to Weston Hospital and having read some of the stories regarding our local hospital I was more than worried but too ill not be admitted.I found a wonderful hospital with a very caring staff who did everything they could to nurse all their patients back to health.I have to thank the wonderful surgical team who worked on me. Morphine did the trick and the pain was no more than toothache. As to the case of paper on the floor, I would like to counteract this. When someone needs a dressing changed and urgently, the last thing on anyone's mind is a scrap of paper. The nurses are short staffed and never stop working with patience and caring that goes beyond the call of duty. The floors are constantly washed, bleached and wiped over despite the amount of traffic. The beds are steamed on a regular basis. I was frightened, this being my first ever admission to hospital apart from having my children, and everything was explained in a manner I could understand. The wards are bright, the staff wonderful. We should be proud to have such a wonderful facility available. The staff deserve far better than they get in praise and thanks. As to the food, no, you will not get chips and burgers but good food that is lovely and varied. Thank you once again for a fantastic hospital.YVONNE SHARPE - Verbena Way, Worle
