AS APPEARS normal nowadays, the North Somerset Magistrates' Court in Worle seems to have cost the council taxpayer five times as much as we were told it would cost. Not only did the authorities watch this happen and do nothing about it, but they also let it be built for people arriving in cars. Getting there from the main bus stop involves walking out of one's way to get to pedestrian crossings that are anything but pedestrian-friendly. Once one is inside, one realises that no real effort seems to have been made to use renewable energy resources. It thus appears that we have paid out for something that cost far more than it should have done and we will continue to pay over the odds for it as it contributes more than it should to global warming. I see little justice there.CLLR MIKE KELLAWAY-MARRIOTTCentral Ward, Weston Town Council
