AN OUTRAGED seven-year-old has been compelled to put pen to paper to share his feelings on temporary traffic lights.Ian Bebb, aged seven of Hidcote Mews, Weston, has written to the Weston & Somerset Mercury after experiencing long delays at the lights on Drove Road.A pupil of Heron's Moor Primary School, Ian asked his mum what people do if they don't like something in Weston. His mum Sally replied, "People often write to the Mercury." Ian wrote: Dear MercuryCan you please put in the newspaper that on Devonshire Avenue there are traffic lights there that are holding up people. So please please put it in the newspaper.From Ian BebbThe temporary traffic lights at Drove Road, present from October 23 to November 24, were in place while work was carried out to upgrade the existing traffic light system at a cost of £29,000.Ian will be pleased to learn the temporary lights have now gone.
