WE ARE writing this letter in total support of the proposal for the Portishead Skatepark to be situated at the Kilkenny fields.Portishead desperately needs this skatepark for the young (and maybe not so young) people as it has grown rapidly in recent years and these people need somewhere local to practise their skills.Kilkenny Fields would be an ideal site because it isn't close to houses so there would be no noise disturbance. It is already a popular place for the youngsters to play and isn't too far out for them to get to, also there are public toilets and refreshments just a short distance away down at the Lake Grounds.
