IT seems most people in Weston who have voiced their opinions of the Henry Boot monstrosity have still been ignored by our council. I wonder why? Lowering the height by 10 metres is not enough. It needs to be reduced by about another 40 metres! Why, oh why, can we not have our old Tropicana cleaned up, altered and a roof put on it so that we can use it all the year round? I'm sure that I am not the only one who would like to know why this is not even being considered. We don't need all the things that are going to be included in the Boot building. In your paper last week, it was reported the 'beach car park' has been removed from the scheme. Does this mean the 'Beach Lawns car park' that was initially planned? I hope so - our Beach Lawns are just about the best feature of Weston that is always here, for visitors and locals alike. Councillors, please, please get rid of the Boot monstrosity once and for all.PAT WILSON - Underhill Drive, Weston
