I AM delighted the Orchard Meadows Traders' Association is trying to stop this niche retailing area from being killed off by illegally parked cars. The parking spaces in the town centre are provided for the short-term use of shoppers and visitors during the day and the overnight use of residents and visitors after the shops have closed.There are all-day spaces nearby at a modest cost when compared to the total cost of running a car.I hope one day the successor to Cllr John Crockford-Hawley will give us a decent bus service so that everyone can travel into town, as I do, without waiting an inordinate time for a bus that looks as if it will break down before it gets to the town centre.CLLR MIKE KELLAWAY-MARRIOTTCentral WardWeston Town Council
