My son has just returned from his local paper round and I am absolutely disgusted at the irresponsible actions of one of the local residents. After delivering his paper, the resident of the house came out and angrily threw the paper into the street with it blowing around. My son went back and collected the debris and put it in the bin. There is enough bad press about the youth of today, but give them all a break. This was an elderly 'professional' woman! What an example to set! I called on the owner to explain that it was a bad example to set and could she refrain from doing so as it could cost my son his job. Her angry retort was that he only put the paper halfway through the door! So this justifies her actions? I explained I would rectify this, but she was not reasonable. If this had been the other way around and my son had thrown the paper and been rude, I'm sure a lot of people would have had a field day in the papers!Name and address supplied
