I SHALL not add anything already said concerning the North Somerset museum. What we should examine is the cost of running the museum. In fact it does not require a lot of money. At present, the cost to local ratepayers is certainly no more than 10p per year. The large pay and expenses increase the councillors awarded themselves this year will have far more impact on our purses.Weston is the biggest contributor to local tax in the district. We pay two or three times more in car parking than any other town in North Somerset. And still we are treated like second class citizens. And what about the money received under Section 106?The £23,000 paid to 'another' consultant should have been used for better signage and advertisement. How do we expect people to go to the museum if they do not know it exists? Go to Google and look at Weston tourist info. The present website is complete rubbish. This tells you a lot about the business acumen of our councillors. As for North Somerset website, the museum is barely mentioned. It should figure with its map, programme for the year and a picture. The place where the museum stands is a listed building. A museum is not a library, it requires a permanent base. I wonder how many councillors have visited the museum. By the suggestions made, I would say none at all. As for its position, it is in the centre of the town, close to the railway station and other transport links.DANIELLE HELLIKER - Addicott Road, Weston
